Audi TT RS Racing Car

Audi’s technical development department TE (“Tech Recess Entwicklung”) has amused himself with hustrimmaren quattro GmbH and developed a racing version of the TT RS. The background is that you feel pressure from racing enthusiasts to get a (cheaper?) Alternative to R8 LMS. The car is built to participate in 24-hour racing at Nürgburgring after VLN-regulation that exists, or “Veranstaltergemeinschaft Lang Line Trophy Nurburgring” as it’s actually called.VLN is one of several operators who run the 24-hour race at the Nurburgring and the Audi TT RS SP 4T will be tested during the last two this year, 16 and 30 October. Drivers will be Marc Hennerici and Christopher Mies, who is running for the Austrian Team Raeder Motorsport. Audi and quattro GmbH have tried to keep costs down by using components from R8 LMS and do not alter the wheelbase. However, – as we see – a gauge of substantially broadened by at least said large wheel arch extensions. How much power is picked out of the 2.5-liter turbo fifth grade are not reported but probably put it on a “moderate” level to get good reliability.
Audi R8 Spark Eight Eisenmann, A Ghost On The Road

Beware circular road with this super snow because you can go completely unnoticed. Except for that course, otherwise preparing Eisenmann is incredibly striking. They have created a car with a stunning visual effect. The aerodynamic package is completely new, and specialists Eisenmann exhaust systems have given it, of course, a special sound to your engine, very roaring. The aero package helps not only the visual effect you see, it also improves the overall functionality of the car. The carbon fiber components include new grille, front spoiler, wings, tires, cooling tickets for brakes, front splitter, rear spoiler and rear diffuser grille. The price, as is usual in these preparations, it is not available to many: to name the most expensive piece, only to see the front splitter will cost € 1,800. The rear diffuser and costs us € 3,800.
2012 Audi A6 Spy Photos - Future Cars

Based as it is on the same architecture as the 2012 A6, the recently unveiled Audi A7 luxo-hatch previewed how the next A6 will drive. Now, we also know how Audi’s next midliner will look, thanks to spy photographers who caught this right-hand-drive prototype running wild with hardly any camouflage. The photos more or less confirm what we stated—and illustrated quite accurately, we gotta say—back in our April story on the upcoming A6: that it will elegantly split the difference between the two-year-old A4 and the all-new 2011 A8 flagship. Notable styling features include its more laid-back stance, the upswept lower-body contour, taillights that extend onto the trunk (like those of the rest of the Audi line), and LED running lights with a checkmark graphic that is somewhat softer than the menacing diodes of the new A8. We’d like to see a sportier edge to the mainstream sedan’s appearance, but it appears that Audi will reserve the styling flourishes for the S6 and RS6 models, which will follow in subsequent model years.
We expect the next-gen A6’s engine lineup to include VW’s turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, with the majority of cars powered by a supercharged V-6 in one of two strengths, as seen in the Q7. Although we’re not sure if we’ll actually get the RS6 in the U.S., the legendary twin-turbo V-10 powering the current car will give way to a twin-turbo V-8 pumping out something near the 10’s 580 hp. We also stand behind our dour prediction that we won’t see the Avant wagon version of the next A6—at least for a while. If Audi’s recent models are any indication, we are optimistic that the 2012 A6 will not only look good, but drive well, too. We should find out for ourselves within a year.
2010 Paris Auto Show: The Future of the Supercar - Feature
If there were any doubt that supercars would survive in the face of tightening efficiency regulations and increasingly ecoconscious buyers—yes, at least some of the superrich give a damn—these cars should put it to rest. The five poster-worthy machines detailed here go above and beyond the usual supercar tropes of ludicrous speed and lust-worthy sheetmetal, featuring intensely high-tech powertrains, state-of-the-art materials and construction, or both. Not only are these technological advancements going to keep the supercar species alive, but many of the innovations will eventually trickle down to the cars we regular folks buy, too.
Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Concept
Rumors pegged Lambo’s Paris show car as its replacement for the lascivious Murciélago, but the radical Sesto Elemento—Italian for “sixth element,” i.e., carbon—showed up instead. Even more dramatic than the concept’s styling, though, is how far Lamborghini was able to push its use of carbon fiber. Using techniques learned through a University of Washington–based partnership, the superlight stuff forms not only every exterior panel but also major structural components like the front subframe, the passenger monocoque, and even the crumple zones. Nearly everything that wasn’t needed was deleted. There is no dash pad, and the seats are simply padding glued to seat shapes molded into the passenger cell. The weight savings are breathtaking. The concept is claimed to weigh 2200 pounds—some 1000 pounds lighter than the Gallardo—and its lessons will be applied not only to future Lambos but also throughout Lamborghini’s parent company, the Volkswagen Group.
Audi E-Tron Spyder Concept
This Spyder is a shining example of Audi’s commitment to building great-looking high-performance, alternatively powered cars. This is the fourth e-tron concept car Audi has shown, each with a different powertrain solution. This one has a diesel engine powering the rear wheels and electric motors spinning the fronts. It’s a plug-in hybrid, too, meaning you can charge the front-mounted battery pack from a wall socket. The first all-electric e-tron has already been confirmed for limited production, and the styling of the Spyder should make it to the streets wrapped around the R8’s upcoming baby brother, the R4, within a couple of years. This powertrain, or something similar, shouldn’t be too far behind.Jaguar C-X75 Concept
We’ll do the traditional journalism thing here and put the most salient fact upfront: Jaguar isn’t putting this turbine-toting electric supercar into production. What the C-X75 does show, however (besides Jaguar’s ability to give itself a kick-ass 75th-anniversary present), is that the company means business when it says it’s looking into alternative-propulsion vehicles. Jaguar has been late to market with hybrids and electrics, but partnerships with British agencies—as is the case here—are seemingly jump-starting the development of such projects. At its most basic, the C-X75’s powertrain is similar to one you’ll see on the street soon in the Chevrolet Volt, in that the wheels are turned by battery-fed electricity, the replenishment of which can be handled by an onboard generator. But in place of the Volt’s one propulsive electric motor, the Jag has four—one for each wheel. And whereas the Volt’s generator is a conventional four-cylinder internal-combustion engine, the C-X75 delivers range-extending juice via a pair of onboard turbines. It’s all very cool, and thanks to that partnership with the British Technology Strategy Board, it could be closer to reality than it looks.2014 Lotus Esprit
Lotus’s Esprit sits atop an entire fleet of sports cars the company introduced at the Paris auto show and, like the rest of that lineup, incorporates cutting-edge technology that blends eye-popping performance with greater efficiency. The Esprit and several of its future kin will offer a Formula 1–inspired KERS hybrid setup that provides a jolt of additional power at the flick of a finger. When a button is pressed, electricity regenerated through deceleration and stored in a battery pack is fed to an electric motor, the power from which is combined with that of the conventional engine. Despite the 612 hp on tap, Lotus predicts the Esprit’s CO2 emissions will be on par with the Volvo XC60 crossover’s. Although the Esprit’s estimated $110,000 sticker is big money, it’s reasonable by supercar standards, and it could portend a future in which enthusiasts could have it all—performance, style, and efficiency—without a self-defeating price. All Lotus has to do is survive long enough to build it.2012 Porsche 918 Spyder
Yes, Porsche’s stunning 918 Spyder concept actually debuted at the Geneva auto show last March, but it remains an exemplar of the future of hyper-performance. We’ve gushed once or twice (or thrice) about the plug-in hybrid Porsche before. Actual production was confirmed in July, and if you need a French connection, Porsche announced this week that 918 examples will be built. The concept houses a mid-mounted 500-plus-hp, 3.4-liter V-8 with Le Mans racing lineage, as well as a total of three electric motors—two on the front axle and another integrated into the seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox—good for another 218 hp. The car will be able to operate on electricity alone—this mode will make it the world’s only front-wheel-drive Porsche, at least until the 25-mile range is reached—or in parallel-hybrid form, more like a Toyota Prius, where the gas engine and the electric motors work in conjunction. It’s not yet confirmed that the production car will live up to the concept’s numerical estimates—most notably, the circa-200-mph max velocity or the incredible 78-mpg fuel-consumption figure on the European test cycle—but anything even close would be extremely impressive. All 270 or so U.S.-bound 918 Spyders are guaranteed to be spoken for before the first production example is screwed together, but those of us who don’t have the $600,000 asking price need only be patient. With any luck, the futurist tech developed for the 2012 918 Spyder will join anti-lock brakes and keyless entry as standard equipment on the 2022 Porsche Boxster.MODIFIKASI Audi A8 Razor GTR-10

Audi e-tron Concept, 2009

The performance figures are by no means the only evidence of the consistent and holistic strategy. The design makes it clear that the Audi e-tron Concept belongs in the major leagues of sports cars, and the package takes into account the specific realities of an electric vehicle. The battery is directly behind the passenger cabin for an optimal center of gravity and axle load distribution.
The Audi e-tron Concept is able to freely distribute the powerful torque of its four electric motors to the wheels as required. This so-called torque vectoring allows for dazzling dynamics and an undreamed-of level of agility and precision when cornering.
Audi has taken a new and in some cases revolutionary approach to many of the technical modules. A heat pump is used to efficiently warm up and heat the interior. The drive system, the power electronics and the battery are controlled by an innovative thermal management system that is a crucial component for achieving the car's range without compromising its high level of interior comfort. Networking the vehicle electronics with the surroundings, which is referred to as car-to-x communication, opens new dimensions for the optimization of efficiency, safety and convenience.
The Concept
Electric drive systems are still very much outsiders. The first vehicles of this type took to the roads around 1900, yet in 2009 no volume car manufacturer has a car powered exclusively by batteries in its lineup. Fewer than 1,500 electric vehicles are currently registered in Germany, corresponding to only 0.035 percent of all registered vehicles.
Yet electric driving potentially offers numerous advantages. Electric cars reduce the dependence of transportation and the economy on the raw material petroleum. They produce no direct exhaust emissions and thus ease the local burden on the environment. Electric drive systems are also significantly more efficient than combustion engines, consequently making them easier on the customers' wallets. Other strengths include sportiness and the fun they bring to driving. All of the torque is essentially available the moment the driver steps on the accelerator, allowing for breathtaking acceleration.
Design and Package
The caliber of the car is apparent to the observer at first glance. The Audi e-tron Concept has a wide, powerful stance on the road. The car body seems almost monolithic; the closed rear end appears powerful and muscular. The trapeze of the single-frame grille dominates the front end and is flanked by two large air intakes. The top of the grille merges into the flat strips of the adaptive matrix beam headlamp modules with their clear glass covers. High-efficiency LED technology is used for all lighting units - a matter of honor for Audi as the worldwide pioneer in this field.
The headlamps are the core of a fully automatic light assistance system that reacts flexibly to any situation. The new technology recognizes weather conditions and adapts the illumination to rain or fog. The technology at the heart of the light assistance system is a camera that works together with a fast computer to detect oncoming traffic, recognize lanes and measure visibilities, such as in the event of fog.
The vehicle body is compact. The sweeping line of the front end and the flat curved roof immediately identify the two-seater as an Audi. The contours of the flanks are familiar. The tapering of the dynamic line above the sill and the shoulder line tie together the front end, the side and the rear, lend a plastic quality to the doors and the transition to the side air intake and sharply emphasize the Audi-typical round wheel wells with the large, 19-inch tires.
1.90 meters (74.80 in) wide, just 4.26 meters (167.72 in) long and 1.23 meters (48.43 in) tall - those are the proportions of a supercar. The wheelbase of 2.60 meters (102.36 in) leaves plenty of room between the axles for people and technology. Like with a mid-engined sports car, the cabin of the Audi e-tron Concept is shifted far forward toward the front axle, leaving room in front of the rear axle for the roughly 470 kilogram (1036.17 lb) battery unit, the inverter and the power electronics.
Interior and Control Concept
Optical and functional references to the new drive concept characterize the interior design. They establish an advanced connection between proven Audi genes and new formal hallmarks. Typical for the Audi design language is the reduction of the architecture, controls and flow of information to the essential in favor of visible lightweight construction and a tidy overall impression.
Drive System and Energy Supply
Four asynchronous motors with a total output of 230 kilowatts (313 hp) give the Audi e-tron Concept the performance of a high-output sports car. The concept car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0 - 62.14 mph) in 4.8 seconds if necessary, and goes from 60 to 120 km/h (37.28 - 74.56 mph) in 4.1 seconds. The torque flows selectively to the wheels based on the driving situation and the condition of the road surface, resulting in outstanding traction and handling.
The top speed is limited to 200 km/h (124.27 mph), as the amount of energy required by the electric motors increases disproportionately to speed. The range in the NECD combined cycle is approximately 248 kilometers (154 miles). This good value is made possible by the integrated concept: technology specially configured for the electric drive system combined with state-of-the-art battery technology. The battery block has a total energy content of roughly 53 kilowatt hours, with the usable portion thereof restricted to 42.4 kWh in the interest of service life. Audi uses liquid cooling for the batteries.
The energy storage unit is charged with household current (230 volts, 16 amperes) via a cable and a plug. The socket is behind a cover at the back of the car. With the battery fully discharged, the charging time is between 6 and 8 hours. A high voltage (400 volts, 63 amperes) reduces this to just around 2.5 hours. The Audi engineers are working on a wireless solution to make charging more convenient. The inductive charging station, which can be placed in the garage at home or also in special parking garages, is activated automatically when the vehicle is docked. Such technology is already used today in a similar form to charge electric toothbrushes.
Making its Automotive Debut: The Heat Pump
The heat pump - used here for the first time ever in an automobile - also serves to increase efficiency and range. Unlike a combustion engine, the electric drive system may not produce enough waste heat under all operating conditions to effectively heat the interior. Other electric vehicles are equipped with electric supplemental heaters, which consume a relatively large amount of energy. The heat pump used by Audi - and commonly used in buildings - is a highly efficient machine that uses mechanical work to provide heat with a minimum input of energy.
Driving Dynamics
The normal distribution of the tractive power is clearly biased toward the rear axle in accordance with the weight distribution of the Audi e-tron Concept. Similarly to a mid-engined sports car, roughly 70 percent of the power goes the rear and 30 percent to the front. If an axle slips, this balance can be varied by means of the four centrally controlled electric motors. The electric vehicle from Audi thus enjoys all of the advantages of quattro technology.
Car-to-x Communication
The electronics development engineers at Audi not only aimed to make the Audi e-tron Concept as efficient and fun to drive as possible, they were also very concerned with safety and traffic management. The technical concept car includes a prototype of an information processing system. Future generations of these systems will usher in a new era in the networking of road traffic, particularly in regions and countries with a high volume of traffic. This progress is made possible by the rapid advancements in computing power, software and communication technology.
The buzzword "car-to-x communication" refers to the direct exchange of information in flowing traffic and to the traffic environment. The letter "x" is a free variable that can refer just as easily to other vehicles as to fixed infrastructure such as traffic lights. In contrast to today's telematic systems, car-to-x communication no longer requires a central service provider to quickly and effectively pool and process information. The participants themselves perform these tasks by spontaneously networking with one another.
